Food, Friendship and Outreach
The people of Saint Benedict Church partner each week with others in the community to take care of those who have need. This is done through practical care and building lasting relationships.
Each week, we gather for food and everyone eats together, both those who are serving and those who are coming to be served. It is through this time of fellowship and conversation that we learn more about the needs of the people and attempt to meet those needs throughout the week by supplying clothing, household/camping supplies and additional food as needed.

Feed the Poor - The Sign
Over the years, many people throughout Pensacola have seen Father Nathan standing at intersections, civic events and Gallery Night with his "Feed the Poor" sign.
The sign originated years back when a ban was placed on the homeless that prohibited them from begging for spare change on the roadways. Father Nathan began to stand at the intersection that the homeless would frequent to remind people that, "Though we can not see them they are still hungry somewhere".
Since the signs' inception, it has brought about people in the community becoming involved, by donating their time, goods and food to help grow the outreach of Saint Benedict Church. Each week, people will stop by to drop off canned goods, donations or just stop by to say hello to Father Nathan.
Each weekend with the "Feed the Poor" sign is a reminder to care for those in need.
